Windows 8 doesn't allow me to type!! serious bug

both of my Thinkpads now have a serious bug... this only happened after I installed the February patch Tuesday updates. after using the pc for a while Windows 8 stops responding to keyboard presses. it just makes a "click" sound and doesn't input any letters. here's what I mean: http://youtu.be/pjV7I0RHxIg

Well, my T60 just finished the update (15 updates) a minute ago, and I am typing this anwer just fine

Bit old, but may help someone. I had similar issue on T400 - i was using Synaptics driver and WinUpdate was forcing to install Lenovo one. In few cases (i found what's messing after third driver reinstallation) I ended up with "!" marks on keyboard and touchpad in device manager - and they were not working... both!. Reinstalling synaptics driver helped - of course, using external mouse/kbd.

Hmm...seems to support the comments I've read by those who say Windows 8 was designed as a tablet/smartphone OS, and isn't meant to be used on a tradition PC.

Microsoft have gone a bit overboard trying to make 1 product to rule them all. My initial impression of Win 8 was and is, it's pretty buggy with driver support. Give it until SP1 for it to mature a bit.
