T410 - camera problem

#1 Post by Wojtek » Mon Feb 25, 2013 3:06 am

Hi,
I cannot use my build-in camera in Windows 8 RTM on my T410.

Web pages suggests using of non-administrative account or
back to the original Win8 drivers, however none of these
solutions works for me. I cannot use Win7 drivers too.
Lenovo does not provide drivers for Windows 8.

Has anyone found solution for this problem?

Best regards,
Wojtek@Wroclaw,Poland

When you start the camera app you get the option for camera app, plug the camera into USB port.If the camera did not connect then unplug and then reconnect the camera. If still you get same problem then you need to install and update the drivers of your camera. If the camera is an older camera, it may not be compatible with Windows 8.

For my X220 I had to use the Windows 7 version of Communications Manager (if you run into problems, try compatibility mode). Hotkey features must be version 3.81 or older for the hotkeys to work properly in Windows 8. At least this works for the X220...

hay
your problem is simple and solving it is simpler!
I used to have this problem for like 3 weeks then I remember that we have something called "Device manager" xD
so here you go what to do
1- right click on My computer or search for Device manager.
2-you will find a "other devices" section click it.
3- when its opened right click on the devices you have and click on update driver software.
4-finally click on search automatically for device software update and wait! :)
now if this didn't work then either your cam is broken or its not connected lol

to make sure that the problem isn't in the cam, after the update finish downloading the "other devices" will change to "imaging Devices"
I hope this was helpful! ;D
