Win 8.1 on X200T?

I've been unsuccessful installing Win 8.1 on an X200T--although 8.0 works well enough.

I've heard that the Core2 Duo processor misses an essential instruction, however. Is this true?

No.

You'll find a bunch of people running 8.1 on C2D era ThinkPads pretty much all over the web.

I run Windows 8.1 on my W500 and my T61F - it Works just fine.

Im running it on my HTC shift too, and even there it Works just great (the processor in that one is an old, slow bugger)
Thinkpad W500 (2.53 GHz P8700, 4 GB RAM, FireGL V5700, WUXGA)
Thinkpad T61F 14" (2.53 GHz QX9300, 6 GB RAM, Quadro FX570m 256 MB, SXGA). Advanced dock with AMD Radeon HD7750
Custom build ITX desktop (i5 4590, 8GB RAM, AMD R7 260X, custom watercooling)
Thinkpad 8, Fujitsu F-07C

FS: T61F
