T430 backlight issue (Fuse F3 appears fine?)

Like some others on this forum, I've broken the backlight on my T430 when attempting to fit an IPS panel to it.
I did this before with a T601 I made and was able to fix it by piggy-back soldering a new fuse over the broken one. However this time when I tested the fuse at F3 (the backlight fuse I'm told) with a multimeter I get a reading from it, so the fuse doesn't appear to be broken.

Is there any other possible cause for this problem?

Thanks for your reply. It was a FHD lcd with a converter board. I didn't get any visible output to the screen on the new panel (though I could try again with a torch possibly) I replaced it with the old panel when I could tell something had gone wrong and have been using that to test it. I definitely get an output but no backlight.

Make sure to remove power and battery first, then check all the (LCD) cable connections.
I'm not familiar with this T430 LCD-mod, but I found some info that maybe of use.
