CPU Options - Core i7 3612qm

Just curious if anyone has any insight into why this processor (Intel Core i7 3612QM - 2.1 gigahertz quad core, 8 thread with turbo boost to 3.1 gigahertz
http://ark.intel.com/products/64901/Int ... 0-GHz)-BGA) is available in 14.1 inch Thinkpad Edge E430 units but isn't available in the T430 or T430s models? Thanks.

Bumping this as it appears that this is still the case... Thinkpad Edge E430 has the option of a quad core processor but the T430 does not... Doesn't seem to make sense to me as the T430 is supposed to be the higher end model of the two. Any one have any thoughts to share...?

Don't see why Lenovo would offer this in the Edge but not the T series. May want to ask them why.

Thanks. I chatted with two different Lenovo reps. Both said they didn't know why, but would pass along the suggestion that the 3612qm be offered in the T430... Let's see if they do it.
