Defaced keyboard bezel on new T530

Before ordering, I had a "chat" with a Lenovo rep and asked if I ordered a T530 without the fingerprint log in device if there would be a cutout for it in the bezel (as I had read somewhere.) I was assured that there would be no cutout.

Today the machine arrives and, yikes, there is a cutout. Now I guess it is not a real big deal, but it looks really cheesy. I think I call Lenovo and aks either for a different bezel or the fingerprint device.

Any thoughts? How difficult a retrofit would either modification be?

Chances are, that the cutout you see isn't for a fingerprint reader, but for a color sensor. It might well be, that all keyboard bezel assemblies for the T530 have the cutout for the color sensor.

Mystery solved, thanks! I managed to see one with a fingerprint reader and it was shaped differently and further to te right of the bezel (it had two sides that are sloped or chamfered.)

The color sensor is closer to the track pad. Seems a bit shabby to outfit all of them with this cutout when so few of the T530s will be outfitted with a color sensor.
