T430 and palmrest flex

Hi all,

Just got my brand new T430 and am impressed overall. The one issue I am curious about is the amount of flex in the palmrest area. It isn't too bad, still better than the majority of laptops I've used, but when I press down on the palm rest and view the laptop from the side I can see the palmrest flex downwards slightly, as if it wasn't completely sealed to bottom of the laptop. This happens on both sides of the laptop. Does anybody here with a T430 or similar model have this?

I can post a video if need be.

Here's a video. Can anybody with a T430/T530 tell me if they experience a similar "give" in the palmrest area?

I noticed no flex in the T430 I had. I would describe it as tank like. Make sure it's snapped in all the way. Pinch the front of the T430 where the palm rest meets the bottom case. If that fails, you might want to take the palm rest off and putting it back on. Try adjusting the screw tightness to see if that helps.

Ended up removing the keyboard bezel and reseating it. Guess I was too forceful as I broke off one of the tiny plastic clips that help secure it to the chassis. That didn't seem to make it flex anymore but the original flex is still there. I guess I'll have to live with it, it's really not a big deal anyway. At least I learned how to disassemble the machine.
