Which Txx0/Txx0 Accessories Are Forward/ Backward Compatible

I have a T510 with nvidia and a T430 with nvidia
The 6 cell and 9 cell battery pack from the T510 fit the T430 but are detected by the T430 computer as "incompatible" and do not charge but in fact do work and discharge (will run the computer).
Same way with the T430 battery- fits the T510 but does not charge (does discharge).
---> anyone know how to defeat this and get the batteries to charge up?
the T510 AC power brick does fit and work in the T430 and vice versa. Both are 90W (20V 4.5A) and have the same physical plug.
The T510 DVD fits and works in T430 and vice versa.
The T510 HDD Caddie/ tray (DVD bay expansion tray) fits and works in the T430.
So overall I'm pleased that I get to use a bunch of my T510 stuff on my new T430
I assume all this same list would apply across the line to all T410/T510/T420/T520/T430/T530 models.
I have not opened up the T430 to look at the internal HDD, but have read you need a thinner one (7mm) than previous models. So this is one area which may not be interchangeable.
