Unfriendly Keyboard

Though the laptop may be good but the keyboard is indeed unfriendly.
Most used button like home, end, insert etc. are moved to top where less used buttons print screen used to lie.
Least used print screen button is moved to bottom instead.
Right click button is removed and so will have to use mouse which will reduce the speed of work.
So not friendly for users who have high typing speed.
I do not understand what is the logic behind such unfriendly keyboard on such a costly laptop.
The person who may have designed this keyboard and have decided to put it on this laptop must be a real nut and must not be using laptops quite often and so has designed such feature just to show something new.

hello rkp..
welcome to the forum..
what exact model do you have and what language is the keyboard..??
can you show a picture of this keyboard..?
i went to the lenovo website and got a picture of the english keyboard and sure enough i see an idiotic new keyboard..
print screen is at the bottom between alt and ctrl where some sort of windows specific menu key was located..
and home, end, insert and delete keys are now on the end of a row of function keys..
not having had experience with this new "chicklet" type keyboard (i can't afford to buy with my own $$ every new or even ANY new thinkpads) i can't remark on how long this silliness has been going on but it sure looks to me like an arrogant mindset has taken over..
i DO see the usual mouse keys so i don't understand your comment that the right click key is gone..

I have t430 with english keyboard.
For t430 keyboard visit
http://www.notebookreview.com/default.a ... nkpad+t430
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Len ... 261.0.html
http://shopap.lenovo.com/in/en/products ... ries/t430/
For older t420 keboard visit and check the right click button between Alt and Ctrl on right side just besides the arrow buttons.
http://www.notebookreview.com/default.a ... D=6276&p=2
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Len ... 230.0.html
The benefit of the right click button was that we did not had to use mouse and hover it to folder for right click menu or context menu. But now we have to use mouse.
Anyway I found a solution by using shift+F10 for right click menu.

Well,
I have mixed feelings about this keyboard (T430).
The keyboard backlight is surely a very appreciated improvement. Much better than only the thinklighht.
The typing 'feel' is great. As good or better than previous (T400 in my case)
But I also DO NOT like the new placement of home/End keys, nor the fact that it looks more fragile.
Re. the right mouse key I.. don't really miss it. After all, there are already two right mous 'keys' on this keyboard, one for the trackpoint and another for the trackpad.
All in all however, I like many things on this T430 over the T400..

There can never be too many comments on this blog entry until they give us an option for the classic 7-row keyboard:
