T530 "Plugged in, not charging"

My three-month old T530 (Win 7 Pro, 64-bit) today started refusing to charge the battery. The battery is sitting at 6%. The system tray icon shows the machine as plugged in, but doesn't show the charging animation. The power manager icon also shows the system as plugged in, but with no charging. When I go to power manager and look at the Battery Maintenance page it says the battery is in good health but reports a charging current of 0.0 amps.

I am using the 135W adapter that came with the system.

I've rebooted several times (both plugged in and not plugged in) and no luck. And ideas/suggestions of what to try to fix this?

I just encountered a similar problem today from a T530 bought 3 months ago, Windows 8.1, never any issues, including earlier this afternoon, however half way through this afternoon the laptop would suddenly go into the standby mode when I walked away for a few minutes, the AC adapter was plugged in.

Never encountered this problem before even when walking away for half an hour and come back.

I checked the AC adapter with a X201 and it seems fine, that's when I noticed the "96% available, plugged in, not charging" which started at 98% and said "plugged in, not charging", then 97% with same message when I hovered the cursor on the battery icon which shows the AC plug symbol when the AC adapter was plugged in, so the AC adapter should be working just fine.

Found some references that Lenovo removed this battery life extension mode for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, this laptop was originally Windows 8 from factory, since updated to Windows 8.1.

There is a Jan 2014 update, which I will install when I get to a fast enough connection, but what I don't understand and very puzzled is why did this just pop up in the middle of this afternoon without any (known) action on my part?

Please disregard above, normal operation as it turns out.
