Any word on Haswell equipped T series?

#1 Post by court » Thu Jun 27, 2013 7:39 pm

I saw were someone got word from Lenovo about Haswell appearing in some X series. I was wondering if there was any word on Haswell T series? Anandtech.com did some really good analysis' on the desktop Haswell SKU's citing improved branch prediction and improved TDP among other things. There didn't seem to be too much info on the mobile lines though. At least I didn't see too much... Still sounded pretty exciting. Anybody heard anything?

I think Intel is focusing on the desktop and low voltage versions of Haswell right now. I'd expect some time this fall you'll start to see some new ThinkPads.

The T440s is already released in some countries, supposedly available in the US this month. Basically the same features and design as the T431s but with the Haswell CPU. No word on when the "regular" T440 is gonna appear (and there are rumors of a T440p)

The T440s seems to be trickling out now, although the predictions were it would launch properly mid-September. It looks like a nice machine, although there are questions over aspects of the spec which don't seem to have been resolved yet, especially the screen.
