T430 doesn't sleep

Hello,
I have a T430 with Win8. If I go to Settings / Power / Sleep, the T430 goes to sleep mode. Moon light turns on and power button turns off and on, off and on (means that is sleep). If I wait some seconds, the moon light turns off and the T430 does nothing, no matter if I touch any key or touch the mouse pad... If I press the power button (I think is the way to awake it) the T430 powers on (looks like the sleep mode turn it off
) and Windows load from the beginning loosing everything I had opened previous the sleep operation 
I don't know hot to put it in sleep mode and awake it again, so I can save everything while I'm not using it. For example I stop using it at 6.00 pm, I want to put it in sleep mode, and the next day (8.00 am) I want to awake it and continue working...
Any clue???
