Looking for Information on 2392-B5G
Hello Everyone:
I recently got a T530 2392B5G but I am having problems finding information on this exact model from Lenovo. For example, the tbook PDF doesn't have this model listed.
Can someone direct me to the exact specs for this model, I am specifically looking for the following information:
1. Maximum RAM supported; it came with 16GB
2. Can it support mSATA SSD along with the normal HDD, and if so, what width mSATA should I buy.
3. What model ultrabay adapter does this take?
All the information I am able to google lists various models but not this exact model; in fact they all talk about Windows 7 but my machine came with Windows 8 Pro.
Thanks!

Re: Looking for Information on 2392-B5G
From Lenovo's web site:
ThinkPad T530 (2392-B5G)
i7-3630QM(3.4GHz), 16GB RAM, 1TB 5400rpm HD, 15.6in 1900x1080 LCD, NVIDIA NVS 5400M 1GB, DVD, Intel 802.11agn wireless, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure Chip, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 9c Li-Ion, Win7 Pro 64
According to the Tabook, all T530 boards come with only 2 SODIMM slots, even the quad core models, such as yours. If that is correct, it means that 16GB is currently the max, unless there are 16GB SODIMMs out there that I haven't heard of.
It will support mSATA, although someone else should tell you about the dimensions (I am not experienced with these things).
It uses the 12.7mm Serial UltraBay enhanced.

Re: Looking for Information on 2392-B5G
Thank you very much, can you paste a link to that information? I am not sure maybe I'm not searching in the right country website of Lenovo because I can't find it anywhere. The first link on Google is the landing page for T530 where all it states is that its not available.
Nevermind, I found it in the support website. I hope someone else chimes in with the mSATA details.

Re: Looking for Information on 2392-B5G
Thank you very much, I have another question
In the BIOS it has an option to detect the operating system and then decide to use discrete or optimus graphics. Does this work on dual boot systems, so that when I boot into linux it will use discrete and Windows it will use optimus?
I found this page at the Lenovo support site that talks about the feature but it doesn't mention if it works for dual boot systems.
