T430 Number Pad Question

Hi, I've been meaning to get around to posting this question, but I've noticed that the T430 doesn't have a number pad anywhere. There's some laptops where there are number "overlays" on the right-side keys like M is 0 (I can't even tell now since I haven't seen one in so long).

Is there anyway to get the keyboard remapped to include a num lock key (that's missing too) and then have the numbers work? I'd really like something like this since I use Excel a lot.

A side comment about keyboard gripes is that this keyboard is indeed rubbish and I don't know why Lenovo decided to change it up from the T400.

Thanks,

No, if you buy T430 you have to deal with no number pad. I don't think I've ever seen a 14" laptop with one. T530 doesn't have one either, but T540 does, so you might consider it.

Alright, thanks, since I only just got my T430 in August 2013 I guess I'll just use an external keyboard or invest in a number pad.

If you need it to still be semi-portable, I'd just buy one of these:

For the past few years- there haven't been any 15" Thinkpads with numpads, except the new Haswell T540.

I can do without a Numpad, but I really love having it if it's there. My opinion isn't completely relevant though... because I use a W700 and a D900F, both are 17" monsters.

Toshiba's been putting Numpads on their 15" laptops for quite some time though...

Almost all 15" laptops have numpad since the introduction of widescreen monitors. Lenovo laptops were an exception.
