ThinkPad T530 and Adding RAM

I will be buying a new ThinkPad T530 and it comes configured with 4GB RAM. As I understand it, the T530 has 2 memory slots, one under the keyboard and the other under the memory slot cover on the bottom side of the computer. The preinstalled 4GB RAM takes up one of these 2 memory slots. I plan to add another 4 GB of RAM and would like to know if the factory installed RAM was placed under the keyboard or under the memory slot cover on the bottom of the computer. Hopefully, Lenovo used the memory slot under the keyboard. If anyone can answer my question, I would be much obliged!!

if it has one stick, it's placed under the keyboard. This is how it probably is, however, there's a chance it's 2x2 GB, though I doubt it.

Glad to hear you are getting a new T530.

Even if there is an empty slot under the keyboard removing the two screws to install the memory should take less than 10 minutes even if you are not familiar with a screwdriver.
