T430 Screen Hinge Tightening

#1 Post by UMPC2024 » Fri Mar 06, 2015 11:59 pm

After prolonged usage (as with any laptop), the screen gets some wobble when opening and closing it. Is there anyway to restore the rigidity of the screen around its hinges on the T430? If so, what special tools are required, if any?

Only replacing them with new ones could improve the wobbling.
You'll only need a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

That's rather unfortunate. We'll see how long this thing can go around the block and I'll consider swapping out the parts. Thanks for the information.
