Larger battery for T430s?

Hello everyone,

I have searched around the internet for the answer to my question and keep getting mixed answers.

My current laptop is the Thinkpad T430s. I love it, but the battery life isn't that great, especially since I use the laptop for school and work. I average around 1.5hrs on a full charge. I would love to have something that lasts at least 3-4hrs.

Are there any battery replacements that have extended battery life? I have previously owned the T61 and the battery options were endless....

It looks like the T430s has a different battery setup in comparison to other T4xx setups.

If you know of anything, please let me know. Any links are appreciated.

8GB Ram
256gb SSD + 500gh HDD
Windows 7(Vmware: Ubuntu)

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

Standard 6-cel battery for your laptop has the P/N 45N1143, and a newer one, Model 81+ with P/N 0A36309: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd024288
You should get about 5-6 Hrs out of that, if in decent condition.
Don't think there's a 9-cell.

There is also an Ultrabay battery 0A36310 which can be used at the same time as the main battery.
