T430/T530 questions.

If I purchase any T430 or T530 regardless, will they take i5 or i7 based on sandy bridge or ivy bridge without worrying about knowing correct mainboard to support ivy bridge CPUs?

Worth buying "Discrete NVIDIA NVS 5400M with Optimus Technology" and power management works well to get good and long runtime even with 9 cell battery?

Will both T430/T530 run at FSB 1600 and DDR3 1600 using right memory modules?

One more time, can I use T420 and T430 heatsinks and vice vesa? I know better 2 heatpipes T520 heatsink can be used on T530 notebook for improved cooling over original T530 1 heatpipe design.

I like to to be sure since many information sources can be fallacious.

Thanks and cheers, thinkpadcollection

Nvidia has better performance, so if you want to play games, decode videos etc., then it might come in useful.

If you get Nvidia, then you get both integrated and dedicated, hence battery life in idle shouldn't be affected much, but only when you use your Nvidia card.

If you use linux, you need to use Bumblebee to allow switchable graphics, if you use Windows, then you only need Nvidia software.

Yes.

Yes
the chipset in the motherboard of those laptops support both ivybridge and sandybridge.

Excellent responses, now what about T420 and T430 heatsink exchange compatibility?

Just a note - Win10 can't handle switching optimus graphics from the threads here.

Really? I have T410 with optimus running windows 10 very nicely that power management in win 10 is some better.

display driver is: driver provider: NVIDIA, nvidia driver is 6/29/2015, version 9.18.13.4174, digital signer: microsoft windows hardware compatibility publisher.
