T430 drives

The official website of Lenovo says that T430 supports:
Hard drive features
320 GB, 7200 rpm, 7mm high, SATA 3.0Gb/s
500 GB, 7200 rpm, 7mm or 9.5mm high SATA 3.0Gb/s
1 TB, 5400rpm, 9.5mm high SATA 3.0Gb/s
Supports one additional hard drive which can be used concurrently to offer expanded storage in the Ultrabay Slim Media Bay.
(...)
Note: Supported hard disk drives depend on the model.

Solid state drive features
128GB, 7mm high, SATA 6.0Gb/s
180GB, 7mm high, SATA 6.0Gb/s
Does it mean that larger disks will not work? If I install ie. 500 GB SSD drive, 2 TB HDD drive or 1 TB HDD that is 7200 rpm, then the motherboard/BIOS will have a problem with it? I do not use Windows drivers, as I am on Linux. Am I limited with upgrades to the above or does it just say what the laptops are sold with and the hardware will run larger drives as well?

The T430 main drive bay takes only 7mm HD/SSD.
The T430 Ultrabay 2nd Drive adapter takes either 7mm or 9.5mm HD/SSD.
Any GB-size that your budget allows.
