Can my T530 support 3 drives?

#1 Post by n0m » Fri Nov 13, 2015 2:38 pm

In the near future, I plan to use the mSATA port, the 2.5" SATA and the UltraBay expansion as drives. Is this supported in the BIOS? Can I boot from mSATA?

Yes, it will support the 3 drives in the configuration you mentioned as well as booting from the mSATA slot.
I lost count...

As far as I know there isn't any (significant) limit to the amount of drives you may install, so you can have 10 drives if you wish and find a way to connect them all.
My T430 with GTX 560 Ti (Now with GTX 670)
T430: i5-3320m, 8 GB, SSD + HDD, 1600x900.

This will most certainly work, as that's actually what I'm doing with my T430 right now.
However, keep in mind that the mSATA slot will only run at SataII speeds (3Gb/s).
