Sierra 8355 (Gobi 3000) WWAN on T430

I ordered Sierra 8355/Gobi 3000 WWAN Card for T430. It is working but a few queries while using it on Windows 8.1:
- Does this have GPS/location capability that I can use with Map software for example?
- Is there any Lenovo/Sierra software that I can use with this in order to read messages and dial short codes, as I have to use short codes and read SMS in order to activate the 3G packages. Any 3rd party software for this purpose would do too. I also need these to set preference for the WWAN to look for UMTS as it keeps swapping between HSPA and UMTS for some reason, even though signals are present.
I have installed the proper driver from T430 support site but it came with no software of its own. I then looked around and found Sierra Aircard Watcher (http://www.m2mconnectivity.com.au/brand ... 3g-watcher) but it does not detect the WWAN device...
Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
