Later T450 w/buttons "TrackPad/TouchPad" for T440 - NOT S or P

There's an older thread that has confusing results and varied experiences. I have a T440 NOT an S or a P and the change is certainly something that interests me. I'd be interested in some responses from T440 owners/users who might have done this and their experience. The Lenovo Forum is a terrible mess when attempting to research there.

What FRU was used? Did it require a separate purchase of a ribbon cable OR reuse what's there? Vendor? Service from the vendor? Snapshots or links to maybe a users "pleasant experience".

T440 wasn't my first choice but there was one available locally that the owner was struggling with and the buy was right. It's still got a couple years of warranty, I've a W7 PRO RESTORE package and a W8 Package as the machine was sold as a W7 downgrade. Having newer hardware and being W10 supported I did the W10 and aside from the first several Windows Updates breaking the TouchPad it's done well. M$ issued me a W10 activation as the Lenovo information for some reason wouldn't activate after the M$ 1511 package.
