Warped T450s

#1 Post by dave343 » Sat Feb 13, 2016 8:47 pm

I've had my T450s for a week and although I was noticing it didn't sit evenly on surfaces, at first I thought it was the desk or tables I used. But now as I look closer, and tried various FLAT surfaces today, the front right corner is in fact warped a bit. The front right foot sits about 2-3mm off the flat surfaces. Is this something any of you would return for a new one?
This laptop wasn't cheap, so it's a bit annoying, but I've already added a SSD and 8gb ram, so I really don't want to be pulling that back cover off again :(

I vote for to return it even on principle alone. Not good enough really and surely the SSD and ram won't take long to remove.

Just my 2 cents worth

The base cover is made out of a Magnesium/Aluminum alloy. If you did open it once maybe you tightened the screws a little bit too much. I would say: Loosen all the screws, and tighten them again. Maybe that could fix the issue.
