t430s battery seems to be dead..

Hello,

My t430s battery is at 78%, and always at 78%. Doesn't charge, and when adapter is unplugged, the laptop powers off. Unable to boot with just the battery, which shows 78% with power manager. Battery gauge reset doesn't work either..

Is this battery dead?

Anything I can do?

check voltage, if it less than 9 volts battery dead

Maybe it's a T420 battery? What is the exact P/N and FRU?
They won't charge in a T430, but you can charge a T430 battery in a T420.

t420 battery doesn't fit in t430s

It should have said T420s battery. That fits, but doesn't work.
