Loose LCD cable on T440s, fixed dead LCD.

I received a used T440s yesterday.
The LCD was dead/black, but VGA output worked when activated.
When I removed the LCD-panel I found a loose LCD cable.
It seems like the connector had been partly unplugged, but I had to cut away the original tape securing it in place in order to move it and reseat it. I have no idea how it managed to get loosened enough to unplug the cable.
After I fixed the LCD connector the LCD worked as normal, but I replaced the original HD+ LCD panel with a new FHD IPS anyway since I already had opened the display lid.
First impression of T440s looks good, except for crappy touchpad button(less) design.
I have ordered a new touchpad with 3 physical buttons from eBay, maybe this will make it useable?
