Used T440 sticker removal, should I be worried about discoloration?

So I recently bought a used T440, which has served me great thus far!
Now the ThinkPad still has all the stickers on it like the Intel i5 one, Ultrabook etc. I'm usually a guy that likes simplicity so whenever I get a new laptop I will usually remove them immediately. I wanted to do the same with my "new" T440 but I have read about discoloration of the plastic that occurs due to UV rays of the sun on the surrounding plastic. Have any of you guys tried removing stickers on older used ThinkPads you've bought? Wondering how fast the plastic that is used would discolor.

The T440 is around 1,5 years old and has been used for approximentally 1 year according to the seller.

I have removed all the stickers on thinkpads when new to after 16 years of age. The amount of palmrest use also affects whether or not there will be noticeable wear around the removed sticker. I have a T43 that I got a couple years ago, and after removing the stickers, you could barely see the outline unless you looked very closely. Same couldn't be said for most of my other used thinkpads.

Since the T440 has only been used for a year, taking off the sticker probably won't be too noticeable.

Well I guess I'll just have to take them off and see what the damage is. In your experience.
Do the outlines disappear with time and wear on that piece, or will it never be the same as the rest?
I guess I just also could by replacement stickers if it doesn't and I find it to be more ugly than having stickers.

Or if they really bother you, buy a new palmrest.
