Hi, I got a used 440p a few weeks ago and I LOVE it.. Everything is perfect except some bugs on the finger print reader.

1. I can't get it to boot automatically with the reader without having to push my power button. My W530 and x220 also can be turn on via swiping on the finger printer alone. I look in the BIOS, don't see anything on there that let me enable this.

2. Maybe my problem is related to this, I use Lastpass password manager to memorize my passwords. Despite I set it up to use my finger print reader to authenticate, it just won't do it. It does recognize the finger print reader but it just don't use it.

Can anybody help?

thanks in advance!

The fingerprint reader works differently than previous models. You must use the power button to turn the machine on. I too was confused by this having used the reader to power on my T520 for many years. I don't have any advice about the Password Manager as I've never used it.
