T430s Type 2352-CTO

#1 Post by CeeBee » Sun Jun 26, 2016 4:52 am

Am I right in assuming that no upgradeable components are located directly underneath the keyboard and that the two memory slots available (2x8GB) are both accessible by removing the 2 screws underneath (bottom center cover).

Removing the cover, I see 2 slots (memory type), one above the other. In my case, one module is installed (the lower one). To isolate a memory error, I removed that module and tried to boot. No joy .. just beeps and a black screen. To me that means no memory.

Thanks.

Thanks! I checked the User Manual and it was fuzzy on that issue. Have HW Manuals for all my other TPs but not for the T430s (now I have...), which is used by my wife. No wonder, then, that the computer was dead when I removed the module in Slot-0.
