T450 Track/TouchPad usage for T440

Has anyone recently done the very popular upgrade and would "recommend" their source for the component. Tom, John, Joe and Mike's cousin seems to offer the component BUT is there a preferred? I looked in the HMM INDEX and don't see a T450 or more recent in the index. Is the Lenovo the preferred even with maybe certainly a higher price.
