T460s - sensitivity of trackpoint

Hi. Long time user of Thinkpads -- T60P, X300, X220 -- all of which had, as I would define, very comfortable and easy to use trackpoint nubs. However, on my new T460s, the trackpoint feels hard to use. It's hard for me to explain... the exertion effort required to move it small or large distances on the screen is much greater than my previous Thinkpads. I have set the Speed parameter to maximum in Lenovo settings, but the trackpoint still feels hard to use.

Can anyone here offer any suggestions? I think what I am asking about is "sensitivity" - but I cannot find any sensitivity setting in Lenovo software or Windows 10 itself. Am I missing something?

The keyboards on xx60 generation models use the new 'low profile' trackpoint caps.
Have you tried switching in a cap from your older thinkpads?

I don't know about the **60 generation, but every Thinkpad I've used uses a Synpatics driver which allows you to set the Trackpoint sensitivity from firm touch to light touch. It should be found under Mouse settings under the Ultranav tab.

I had the opportunity to play around with a T460s today. The Trackpoint behaves in a similar way to the crappy Trackpoint that was on my old (i.e. I don't have it anymore) T450s. It's crap---just like the T450s Trackpoint. It's laggy. Things do not scroll smoothly. You can play all you want, but tweaking the sensitivity will not work.
Right now I am limping along with a Dell Latitude E7450. It has a better "Track Stick" than the current Thinkpad T-series offerings. One of the big reasons I moved to the Dells was because of the Trackpoint issue, but I also had problems with WiFi and Bluetooth on the T450s.
It just makes me sad what Lenovo has done to the Thinkpad line.

I don't have any problems with the trackpoint on my T460s. It feels a bit stiffer than my older machines, but it works just as smoothly as I would expect it to, at least under Linux.

I have found that disabling the touchpad via BIOS significantly improves the smoothness and response of the trackpoint. Not sure why though.

T460s uses Super Low Profile cap. If I remember correctly, there might have been one keyboard FRU where the TrackPoint is a bit less responsive. Which keyboard does your T460s have?
