I have a T430s, and I'm itching to get a 4k display. However I'm not sure current 4k displays will show 4k @60hz with a T430s. The following post claims 4k@60hz is possible with dual display ports. Are current monitors and televisions compatible with this dual display port setup to drive the display, or is this only possible with older 4k displays?
I think that many displays use an updated HDMI standard.

Is anybody driving a 4k display with their T430s?

I have the ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 (with USB3 port not esata) and am driving two 4K capable displays (Dell P2415Q) on my T430s, however I am running them at 2560 x 1440 because that is the highest resolution I can push @ 60hz. If I run the two displays at 4K then they are pegged @ 30hz. I've tried this with both my Nvidia card enabled and disabled in the bios. I run full time now with the gpu disabled and only my intel card driving the two monitors at work. Very solid set up in all honesty, would definitely encourage you to try it, not sure if you're gaming though. I'm in software so this resolution is pretty great as it is.

Thanks for the reply. If you look at the offsite link above, someone claims you can run a single 4k monitor @60hz using 2 display ports. Have you tried that using one of your 4k monitors?
