T430 camera problems

#1 Post by thinkquan » Tue Nov 29, 2016 3:38 am

The integrated webcam on my T430 seems to have stopped working. Have done a lot of searching around for a solution to this but still haven't come up with anything that works. The camera isn't something I use often, so I can't pinpoint precisely when it stopped working but it did work in the past. I also have an X220 with W10 and working webcam for comparison.

T430 with Windows 10 x64 (W7 clean install and upgrade to W10).
All Windows Updates done.
Latest Integrated Camera Driver installed - http://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/product ... s/DS032431

Camera is enabled in the BIOS
Fn+F6 does nothing. (All other Fn combos work)
Device Manager > Imaging devices, shows no cameras. Ticking hidden devices shows no cameras.
Lenovo Web Conferencing > Camera settings tab, is missing. (VoIP and Options tabs still appear)
Lenovo Settings app shows no camera options.

Have done multiple times uninstall driver, restart, install, restart, test. Still no camera appearing in device manager.
Downloaded the file several times in case there was corruption, no change.

Lenovo System Update is showing a BIOS update to 2.71 is available, however I would rather check if another solution is available before doing a BIOS update. Currently running BIOS 2.53. This is the only outstanding item in System Update.

Thanks.
