General Keyboad Consensus + T460 vs T13

Hi,
I am just having a major dilemma over Thinkpad13 vs T460.
My previous machine was a X220 and I am not sure which machine I should go for.
A bit of details about my work/background.
I spend more time on the road/cafes and less time in an office environment. My primary job is doing admin tasks, a bit of scripting/coding and emailing.

I am not sure which machine I should go for. I have a T460 which I brought considering that I have been a long time Thinkpad and should stick to the main Thinkpad line. But at the same time I am starting to wonder if this was the correct decision given that Lenovo has changed the Thinkpad line so much.
Maybe I should have gone for something much cheaper like a Thinkpad13 which has a better keyboard and forget all the extras.

Appreciate if someone could give some good inputs here. I have been pondering over this for the last 48hours. Please help.

My suggestion:
get a nice X230, then do a few mods on that, such as an FHD IPS screen and the classic X220 keyboard.
That should do you for a few more years!

OR:
just do the FHD IPS screen mod on your current X220.

PS: these FHD mods will be out next, but hurry, there's a long waiting list and quantity is limited!

That's going to require a fair amount of dexterity which I don't think I have.
Also I rather use something that just works out of the box. I would really like to do as you recommend but I don't think I am so skilled.
The keyboard layout on the T460 is also disappointing. The buttoms INS,PGUP,PGDN, etc are all messed up but that's how Lenovo wants it.

Anyways I am just trying to keep my option between the T460 and the 13.

My vendor has accepted to exchange the machine.
I am considering to exchange my T460 in for Thinkpad13. My vendor has agreed to accept the return.

The keyboard layouts on the T460 and the Thinkpad 13 look the same to me. Both are the new standard Lenovo layout.
