Can I use a 45W T440S with a 90W ultra-dock?

Sorry if this is sort of a blond question - but I'm still very much a desktop person and I don't really understand the battery& adapter&charger stuff yet (where can I read up on this?) - can I use a 45W T440S with a 90W dock?

As long as the wattage of the power supply is equal or higher than the original, you can use it.
Make sure though that the voltage is always the same!
