T460S DC-in Jack ??!!!
I need to know what order the wires on the serial plug are in., i dont remember exactly what i was doing when my son got ahold of the dc in jack but he did and its gone now, i have everything i need to build a new plug myself i just need to know what order the wires run in. if anyone has a picture or could tell me the order (b,r,r,bl,bl ect..) That would be absolutely awesome
Thanks,

What are you saying, its unclear. Are you talking about the OneLink Dock connector? The DC in connector has 2 pins, power and ground. Center is usually positive but your AC adapter should have that info on the side.

Re: T460S DC-in Jack ??!!!
dont mean to nitpick, but it clearly says the order of the wires for the dc jacks Serial Plug side. so the side that plugs into the mobo, there's 5 wires. im in need of the order from the number 1 on the mobo to the #5 printed on the mobo or a picture of said order.
Much Appreciated

Re: T460S DC-in Jack ??!!!
are you wanting to know the pinout of the power socket..?
your question is not very clear..
if so, the power in socket should be a rectangular openint with three connections..
from memory:
there will be a small "peg" in the center with a tiny hole..
i don't know the exact pinout BUT one will be power, the other ground and the third is data..
data to the power adapter i believe..
my advice is to just go to amazon or ebay and find the proper AC adapter..
it will most likely be one used on most all recent vintage thinkpads..

Re: T460S DC-in Jack ??!!!
yes I'm looking for the pinout but not of the socket... of the motherboard side of the plug.....
I feel as if people are NOT reading what I have posted, and trying to tell me what I'm saying is unclear so let me try this one more time.
I need the order of the 5 COLORED WIRES that go into the OTHER end of the DC jack,
the end that plugs into the MOTHERBOARD.. its a 5 pin socket on the side closest to the jack it reads the number 1
on the side of the socket closest to the battery it reads the number 5. I need the color order for the polarity to the MOTHERBOARD.
for example the colors go in order Black,Black,Red,Red,Blue or any variation of those 3 COLORS and 5 PINS connecting to the MOTHERBOARD

Since schematics are almost impossible to find, I suggest you get one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252942023181

From the link that RBS posted, I can guess the pinout could be something like this:
RED: Positive 19~ Volts
BLK: Ground
WHT: Probably a sense wire. Most DC Plug jacks pull a certain pin to ground when a jack is inserted to alert a controller circuit.
These are guesses, you'll need to experiment yourself to get an accurate pinout.

first, it is NOT a serial IN plug.. err, socket..
it is the power socket..
and i would not mess with the system board, just grab one of those ebay items RBS pointed you toward..
