T430 hard drive issue

#1 Post by decableguy2000 » Sun Oct 15, 2017 10:46 am

I have an Ebay special T430 that came with no hard drive, I used an older SSD that I believe is starting to fail. Won't boot hard drive fail error, tried as an external, same issue. Hooked up to my desk top and it took a couple of tries and poof magic started working again reinstalled in the T430 and was able to boot. I'm 90% sure its the drive. What can you guys recommend me as a replacement. I'm thinkink Msata drive 256gb range or another 256gb ssd. I don't have a need for much more storage.

A Samsung 850 EVO drive is cheap and will suit you well. Like this one.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
