Can joystick controller be used on T530?

Hi,

I have been using ThinkPad T530 since 2013 and recently I bought Legion Y920. My daughter now uses the T530. She wants to use joystick controller in T530, can this joystick controller be used in T530? Or any other joystick controller can be used? Please give me a better idea as soon as you can. She does not want to wait, she wants to buy today, but I do not know whether it can be played any game on a very old machine.

Anything that's USB will probably work, unless it's a very old obscure one that does not have generic drivers for modern operating systems.

So we can't install the generic driver on my T530? My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.
