I have a T460 laptop with a Thinkpad pro dock. I am currently using the Display-port to connect to a 4k monitor. I would like to hook up a second 4 k Monitor, but I am not sure what kind of a connection to use, or if it could even be done. the second monitor is a Samsung U28E590D 28-Inch UHD LED-Lit Monitor. it has a DP, HTMI 1 and HTMI 2 port.
I would sure appreciate any help. 4 calls to Think pad and all they did was transfer me.
I don't think it's possible via only the dock. The DVI and DP on the Pro Dock are mutually exclusive, and the VGA cannot reach 4K resolution (neither does single-link DVI for that matter).
You should be able to do this by connecting on of the displays via miniDP on the laptop itself, or by obtaining an Ultra Dock.
