T430s - blew out LCD backlight fuse on motherboard - where is fuse?

#1 Post by TheToeNail » Fri Aug 03, 2018 11:20 pm

So I blew out my backlight fuse when upgrading to FHD on my T430s. I checked both screens I own, and you can faintly see the thinkpad logo on both, but no backlight, so I know I need to fix the fuse.

Ive read you can just drop a blob of solder on the fuse, and itll work (but now with a danger of actually blowing the LCD backlight - better than broken!). Im having trouble locating the fuse. I have found where it is on the T430, but I dont think its in the same spot on the T430s.

Anyone have any info? I cant seem to find anything...

On the back of the mainboard, fuse labeled F7, mine was behind black plastic protection.
