Hi all
I have a T430 of which the 2 usb ports at the right far side do not work. See below picture of a partial motherboard scan of the ports which cause an issue (ports marked with yellow dot). For your info, this is not a picture of my T430 motherboard. Could my issue be related to some kind of bad connection? Any advise to share? Seems weird, I thought it worked when I initially installed Debian on it some months ago. I am not the biggest Thinkpad hardware expert, but would like to hear some advice prior opening up this Thinkpad. Thanks

Re: USB ports at right back side do not work
The 'upper' USB-port sits on a small separate plug-in PCB.
Reseating that might help.
Check inside the ports (from the outside) that nothing is stuffed or broken or bent and makes 'false' contacts.

Thanks, I will have a look this week and report back. I think a false contact can indeed be a logical reason.RealBlackStuff wrote: ↑Sun Aug 26, 2018 8:00 amThe 'upper' USB-port sits on a small separate plug-in PCB.
