T440s Low ram

#1 Post by Whitieiii » Fri Sep 07, 2018 5:05 pm

I've been getting the low ram message on my T440s for awhile now and I've just about done everything to clear ram and it's still low... I'm running 8GB and only a web browser with not enough tabs to take up 8GB ram so shouldn't be low on ram... it's weird... any suggestions on something I could have missed?

Which OS ?

How many processes do you have running on a freshly booted machine ?

Windows 10 and with the web browser i'm only using 1% of the CPU or about 100 or so processes

That sounds like an awful lot to me...

It's annoying since I don't get the same problem with my T440p or even my T430 and I'm running the same stuff on all machines except my T440p has 16GB ram so not a fair comparison but both the T430 and T440s both have 8GB ram but the T440s always has low ram warning and everything will crash sometimes

Sounds like it could be a memory leak also. Maybe an update caused it. Google memory leak Windows 10.
