battery - ac power transition problem

#1 Post by brucehe » Tue Oct 02, 2018 9:04 pm

This is regards to a T430 integrated graphics, W7. When switching between battery and AC power the display goes blank for 1 second or so then comes back, This happens going from AC to battery and battery to AC. Is this hardware or software?

Thanks,

Bruce

That's probably just the machine adjusting the display settings. I know a few of my TPs do that. If the display comes back after a second or two, it's fine.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

I tried a new used battery and the transition problem cleared up however the unit still has shutdown issues. I will start a new thread.
