Trying to understand why Lenovo is trying to put an older processor in T480, lower memory speed and seems to have released a newer BIOS with CPU microcode update.
Wondering if this T480 is same as a T470 and they want to get rid of older CPU stock.
The processor socket is FC-BGA1356 for i5-7200u and i7-8650u,
People have asked about T25 keyboard, base changes etc .. in a T470p/ T480 to get the 8 thread processor. If someone has the capability or resources to swap out just the CPU on a T470/T25 motherboard , is that a possibility , might need the cpu microcode support also ...
Or it's just a lower-cost option even compared to a Gen8 i3.
