I am being offered a T530 with this type number: 2429-W92. I am not mistaken about this--the owner sent me a clear photo of the serial/type sticker.
All my searching on Lenovo's site turns up many documents showing the discontinued T530 series and all the configurations. The one I'm interested in differs in that the type suffix format (W92) is unique; all the other 2429's--indeed all the other T530's--the suffix is 1 or 2 numbers followed by 2 or 1 letters (5VU or 23U for example) but never a letter followed by numbers.
My goal is to find the technical specs for this ThinkPad (processor, graphics, display, number of memory DIMM slots, etc.).
Any help finding a document listing this type number would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: T530: Odd type number
Welcome to the Forums.
The MTM link at the top of the site allows you to find the type. The Type numbers are basically a bunch of random numbers and letters, and make no sense.
Anyway... it has these specs.
ThinkPad T530.
2429-W92
------------
i5-3320M(3.3GHz), 4GB RAM, 320GB 7200rpm HD, 15.6in 1600x900 LCD, Intel HD Graphics, Intel 802.11agn wireless, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure Chip, 6c Li-Ion, Win7 Pro 6

Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Re: T530: Odd type number
Thanks for your reply. And the information. I tried the MTM earlier but the page wouldn't load. It seems OK now though.
Cheers.
Cheers.
