I've noticed that certain activities, particularly those requiring heavy disk access, will result in momentarily pause of the mouse cursor. It is like the system is "hanging" periodically prior to performing the next action.
This is different than most slowness encountered in PCs. Generally, when they are "thinking" you can freely move the mouse around, receive an hourglass, and to a certain extent multitask and change between windows. It doesn't mean you can do much, but it's still responsive. In this case, the mouse cursor and keyboard just freeze and do not accept further input for periods of time generally less than 1/2 a second.
Has anyone seen these symptoms on a T480 before?

I had these symptoms on my T440p as well and couldn't figure out how to fix it but I've closed literally everything in the background and forground and restarted and problem still exists... Hopefully i can fix why the computer has unusually high ram and hard drive usage when my boot gets fixed

I basically/definitely suspect Micro$haft's W10.
Try a Life-CD/DVD/USB with Linux, to check if the problem persists.
