Fake battery charging on T430s with BIOS v.2.02

I thought I had to flash the BIOS with the EC-mod to get my new fake, chinese eBay-battery to charge, but it charges fine on BIOS 2.02.
I bought the machine used so I can't be 100% sure that it's not been EC-flashed, but the mod doesn't work anyways on v.2.02, does it?

IMO It seems like the chinese fakers have managed to make fake batteries that charge on the T430s at least (81+ battery)

PS: yes, I'm aware of the somewhat higher fire-risk with fake batteries, but OEM-batteries for the T430s are hard to find.

This has been the case for years. They are not so stupid as to manufacture en-masse and sell batteries that would all be returned because they could not be charged.
