T440p screen not working

#1 Post by mattster » Fri Jun 28, 2019 10:37 am

In my haste while upgrading another T440p I have, I did not remove the battery from the system I was working on. I wanted to remove the FHD screen from that to test out the other T440p. Now when I power the original system on, I get no video but I do get normal beeps when I hit F1 to enter the BIOS. I haven't tried an external monitor yet, but I suspect that it will probably work just fine.

Did I blow a fuse on the mainboard related to the video circuitry maybe? If so, does anyone know exactly where that would be located. I haven't done intricate soldering before if that is what is required, so I may need some assistance with this if that is the case for replacing the fuse.

Any help greatly appreciated!!
Current Systems: T470p, T440p & X240

Fuse F3 for backlight, 3A 32V ERBRD3R00X, near the mobo's LCD-connector.
Piggyback solder a new one on top of the old fuse.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (the Real Black Stuff). And pigs CAN fly!

Working on sourcing the fuse so I can get this fixed up sometime soon. Is this a difficult one to do? I've never done a piggyback before and my soldering skills are just ok.
