T430 PCIe to USB3.0 for Wireless upgrade

Upfront, please excuse any of my ignorance. I figure there is a wealth of knowledgebles here that might share opinions about this.
I want to upgrade the wireless in my T430 without having an exterior dongle.
I am not ready/able yet to perform the bios mod for this model, and have not seen anyone offering a service to perform this bios mod.
I saw a mod that was made to a x220 pcie to usb to house a unified reciever that gave me the idea that maybe I could do similar with a small wireless https://www.newegg.com/tp-link-archer-t ... -_-Product
such as this AC1300 mini adapter.
Other than obvious possible space and location constraints in the chassis, is there any other reason this would not work ?

The adapter used in that mod taps into the USB signals in the miniPCI, which is only USB 2.0.

I imagine that you'd experience severe performance issues when using a USB 3.0 wifi adapter on a USB 2.0 port.

Read further down that page. You'll see this:

Please note: The USB 3.0 connector on the adapter card actually works as the USB 2.0 signal

It's just USB 2.0

Ahhh. Well, It was a thought. Guess I will have to go a different route. Thanks for helping me see that
