Can someone take a peek with CPU-Z(software) and look if the T440p stock 4GB RAM is 1Rx8 or 2Rx8 ? ( One or Two rank. )
Planning to use dual channel 2x4GB=8GB and using a another 4GB comb.
Also is it: Samsung, Hynix, Elpida, Micron and what CL and such values ?
Like DDR3L= "4GB 2Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-13-XX" ? (1600MHz)
Is stock RAM this ?
Samsung 4GB 2Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-11-F3
Hynix 4GB 2Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-12-F3
HMT351S6EFR8A-PB N0 AA
I upgraded it to 16gb with a matched pair of Samsung PC3L - 12800 part nos M471B1G73CBO-YKO. The laptop ran quite happily with the mismatched pair, and is obviously a bit snappier with 16gb installed; it is probably more tolerant of odd pairings than you think. That's my experience anyway.

The 4GB ones I have seen were Hynix 2Rx8 HMT351S6EFR8A-PB xx xx (varying).
OTOH, who cares!
As long as you use a well-known brand and matching pairs (and NOT any "value-RAM"), you will be grand.
