Hey guys,
I`m trying to disable my TouchPad in bios but it wont work ... it shows DISABLED but still works maybe because I`m having TouchPad from T450 as original TouchPad would be disabled if i select option in bios DISABLED.
P.s. im using Linux, i know i can do it trough software but i want to know why bios option isnt working.
Thanks.

Re: Bios wont disable my Touchpad T440p
Use this CLI command, or place a line in ~./.fluxbox/startup with:
synclient TouchPadOff=1
Not sure if this works for both Synaptics and Alps.
A bit more complicated, but more options here: https://launchpad.net/touchpad-indicator

If you enable TrackPoint, it is a simple user setting to disable TouchPad. My Touchpad is always disabled.
